Boarding Up Reviews in Epsom

Sample customer testimonials
“Someone forced the back door while we were away for the weekend. The lock was gone and the frame was split. I rang late on Sunday night and a person picked up straight away. They asked for the postcode and what the door looked like, gave me an arrival time and a price on the call, and both held. The door was secured properly, and I had the photos and a written note of the work for the insurer the next morning.”
Claire D., Ewell (door boarding after a break-in)
“Our front window went in on a Saturday afternoon. The quote was clear before anyone picked up a drill, and the board went on neatly without chewing up the old frame. The glazier fitted the new pane the following week.”
Martin H., Stoneleigh (window boarding)
“We run a small shop in the town centre, and the main pane was cracked right across. They explained the options for fixing into the shopfront and boarded it so we could close up safely and reopen the next day. The itemised invoice and before-and-after photos meant I didn’t have to chase anything for the claim.”
Priya S., Epsom town centre (shopfront boarding)
“I manage a few lettings and needed an empty house boarded between tenants. They did the ground-floor windows and back door with security fixings, sent photographs, and the invoice was itemised clearly. That made it easy to report back to the landlord.”
Tom W., Ashtead (vacant property securing)
“A branch came through the skylight in a storm. They told me on the phone not to go up and look, which I was about to do. They covered it from a safe position and explained that the permanent repair would follow separately.”
Janet R., Langley Vale (roof and skylight boarding)
“Quick, polite and no fuss. The quote was the price.”
Gary M., Epsom Downs (window boarding)
What you can expect when you call
Whatever the job, the process follows the same pattern:
- A person answers, 24 hours a day. We attend at any hour, including nights, weekends and bank holidays.
- Arrival time and quote on the call. We’ll work out timing from your postcode and give you a free, clear quote before any work begins. Our pricing page explains what affects the price, such as the size of the opening, height and access, and whether a damaged frame needs securing first.
- Boarding that suits the opening. We usually use exterior-grade plywood, often 18mm, with OSB for smaller openings and security fixings where they help. We fix without damaging the frame where we can. If a frame is badly damaged, we’ll explain the options before starting. You can read more about the method on our window boarding and shopfront boarding pages.
- Paperwork afterwards. You’ll receive an itemised invoice, time-stamped before and after photographs and a written statement of the work. Your insurer decides what’s covered, and our insurance claims guide explains how to use these documents.
Boarding makes the property safe and secure for now, so the permanent glazing or door repair can be arranged properly afterwards.
We have over 10 years’ experience. We’re fully insured (certificate on request) and DBS-checked.
