A broken pane or a forced back door is a horrible thing to come home to. Our job is to close it up properly so you can lock up and get some sleep. We're an independent boarding-up service with over 10 years' experience, working across Epsom, Ewell and Ashtead. Call 01372 656234, tell us your postcode and what's happened, and we'll talk you through a free, clear quote and when we can get to you before anything is fitted.
Ring us at any hour and you'll get a person, not a machine: 01372 656 234 (Epsom, Ewell and Ashtead)
We secure openings after break-ins, accidents and storm damage, and board empty buildings for owners and agents. Boarding is the make-safe that helps keep weather and intruders out while your glazier or joiner arranges the permanent repair. Tell us how many openings there are, roughly how big, and whether any are upstairs.
We board smashed glass and secure doors, frames and locks that have been forced. Report it to the police, note your crime reference, call your insurer and take photos if it's safe.
When the fire service has handed the property back, we board the empty openings to keep out rain and trespassers. Smoke and odour cleaning is a job for other specialists.
A falling branch or flying debris can break a window or skylight in seconds. We board it over so the rain stays outside until the repair is booked.
We board the windows and doors of empty houses, flats and commercial units for landlords, letting agents and families handling an estate.
For most openings we fit exterior-grade plywood, usually 18mm, and use OSB on smaller ones. We use security anti-tamper fixings so the boards can't simply be unscrewed from outside. Where the frame is sound we fix without damaging it, which matters on older joinery like the Victorian and Edwardian buildings around Epsom town centre, and makes life easier for whoever does the repair. If a frame is too badly damaged, we'll explain your options before we start. We're fully insured, with the certificate available on request, and DBS-checked. For your claim we'll give you an itemised invoice, time-stamped before and after photos and a written statement of what we did. Your insurer decides what's covered, and we're not loss adjusters, but you'll have what they usually ask for.
Give us your postcode and tell us what's broken. We'll ask how many openings there are and how big, whether ladders are needed, and if a door or frame has to be secured first.
We'll give you a free, clear quote over the phone and work out when we can reach you from your postcode. Nothing is fitted until you've agreed.
We make broken glass and debris safe, fit and fix the boards, photograph everything and hand over the paperwork for your insurer.
If your shop window goes in overnight, you'll want the place secure and ready to trade. We board shopfronts, offices, restaurants and warehouses, from the High Street, Waterloo Road and the restaurants of South Street to units in Ewell and Ashtead. Many town-centre buildings sit in the conservation area and plenty are listed, so we use non-destructive fixings wherever the frame allows. Big panes, high fascias and tricky access all affect the quote, so tell us about them when you call.
Shopfront Boarding Details"Our kitchen window was smashed in the early hours and I honestly didn't know who to ring. The man who answered talked me through the quote before anything was agreed and asked about the side passage, which saved time when he arrived. He boarded it neatly, cleared the glass from the patio and emailed me the photos the same morning for the insurers."
"We run a small shop and someone had a go at the front door overnight. The glass was shattered and the frame was bent. They secured the frame first, then boarded it with fixings you couldn't get at from the street. The paperwork was clear and itemised, and the glazier said it came off cleanly."
